Anyone recommend a good undersealer, I know Waxoyl is the normally recommended stuff, but has anyone used Dinitrol before, it seems to get much better recommendations on slightly more extreme things needing protection... like seaplanes..

Just wondering what the views might be on this stuff as it redefines NOT CHEAP.

I find the Waxoyl stuff to 'wash' off round where the wheels are. But appart form that its held well.

Under body schultz(sp?) Black tar type stuff, most motor factor places do it in a brush on aplication rather than a spray.

Agreed on the Waxoyl washing off, also tends to run a bit on warm days.

Had a look at the tectyl stuff, looks close to the Dinitrol, same buzz words in use :)

http://www.dinitrol.com/MoreInfo/Car.pdf

Although the Tectyl BT Sealer for marine ballast tanks would probably be better stuff... probably 40gallon drum only though :)

As you can see from the sig, I am in a perfect position to reseal the underside of the car, there is nothing attached anymore. (On that note you wouldn't belive how light a stripped bodyshell is)

This is the closest to the BMW stuff I have been able to find:

3M anti chip coating

Cheers,

Ian.
