I havn't used them myself but I have heard that they wear far too quickly for track work, and arn't particularly effective when cold on the road.

I have Group N discs from Rally Design (www.raldes.co.uk) matched with ATE pads from Euro Car Parts. They did the job round the Nurburgring, no fade over up to 3 consecutive laps. But the rest of my car is standard, and I had cheap tyres so maybe they weren't tested particulary hard. However, with the discs at 33 quid +VAT a pair, and the pads at 17 quid +vat a pair, it works out cheap.

I had them and used them on the track for about 30 events as well as road driving for about a year and a half. The worked ok on the road for me and didn't seem to wear that quickly considering the amount of work they did and they seemed to stand up to the track work ok, I never had problems with fade. BUT when I got them replaced the guy that replaced them (who also originally installed them) said they had been overheated so he put in some different ones this time.

I would probably go with what the Zone recommends though, I think there are Ferodo DS2500 pads in the Zone Shop.

I've got Greenstuff on my track car and you can stop it and nearly go through the windscreen... mind you, I've also got braided hoses, grooved discs and racing fluid.

I've never had it suffer from brake fade... EVER!

On the road though, they squeak when they get warm when you're 'fairy' braking. Work best under pressure.

Giles.

i had greenstuff pads on my old fiesta, they worked better than standard ones when braking hard but felt no difference normaly.
i think redstuff pads are for the track, and need to heat up first for good braking

Personally, I wasn't impressed with the greenstuff, and they shout about the low dust, but I found them awful, when I had them on my car, it was a while back, and I'm sure they've been re-designed since then.

I have read nothing but good comments about the DS2500's, especially the guys that use the track often, but they are pricey, but "you pays your money...."

I had the discs and pads on the iS. Bloody brilliant in my opinion. Going from std to those was night and day.

Highly recommended

Green stuff are rubbish i would stay clear, you might as well go for Pagid fast road pads which are better!
