you'll be wanting some M30 yellows then dude ?
they must be used with a 2.5 bar fuel pressure reg otherwise she'll flodd 24/7 but otherwise bolt straight in
Might have a set @ work, removed from the SE when I went to the 600cc/min light greens

Not really sure how you upgrade injectors. If you're fitting higher flow injectors but turning the pressure down to get the same flow rate as before, there's no difference to be had.
Also, just pumping more fuel into the engine won't increase it's power output, it needs more air before that goes up.
Or am I missing something here?

i also dont see the point......
what mods u got planned to warrant injector upgrade?
only reason i could see would be a turbo..... as even for a 2.7 u can run stock on higher pressure like mine is and still be fine

stock injectors are good for well over 200bhp 2.7s so i'm told

i do believe that it will be sopmething to do with nitrous
craig has had it before on his 320, i believe he is now putting it on his 2.5 lump, hence bigger injuectors, and as Andy said...deffo don't want to lean out on nitrous or you start melting pistons and valves

If he is using laughing gas, what's going to tell the injectors to supply the extra fuel?

well it im after these as i do belive im running a little lean with the nitrous and i thought bigger injectors would be the answer as my b.h.p is now up to 265-275ish (due for the rolers v-soon) and i dont know if the injectors can handle that much, iv heard of people doing this in the past so i thought id just get some to see if it would A) sort out my lean'ness and B)if they would acctually do anything realy, but if anyone can tell me thats it's no good then obvously im not going to bother with them

Think the problem you have is that you need more fuel when you're using the gas, but not at any other time?
One of the ECUs I've got has an input of N2O which ramps up the suty cycle on the injectors for the extra fuel and also retards the ignition to help prevent piston meltage.
Not sure how you'd go about either with the standard kit as just fitting bigger injectors will supply extra fuel everywhere, and there's no easy way (that I know of) to get the standard ECU to retard

a mappable system would do it.
If you got really keen a second set of (petrol) injectors could be fitted and mapped to fire with the nitrous.

Sorry,i'm a bit slow but i've been thinking about this and normally with a nitrous set up you have two extra injectors, one for the nitrous and one for the fuel which are normally a matched sized to keep the nitrous/fuel ratio correct.
As stated above the engine fuel injectors don't put any more fuel in when the nitrous is fired.
What i was thinking is if you have increased the nitrous jet size you will also have increased the jet size of the "7th" fuel injector so what if the fuel pump can't maintain enough fuel pressure or flow with the extra fuel demands that the 7th injector is placing on the fuel supply ?
What would be handy to have would be an O2 sensor with a control box that does some data logging so you can see what happens to the fuel ratio when the nitrous is in use ?
I have seen some thing similar on the net some where, it logged not only fuel ratio but some other stuff like throttle angle and rpm.
I will try to dig the link out later.

ahhhh good thinking batman, i never thought about the supply it's self,
your right about the nitrous system it has two solenoids with flare jets in to suit the amount of nitrous and the fuel presure im running,
and what your saying could tie in with my little problem, on the nitrous system the petrol solenoid acctually takes its feed from the main fuel line going to the engine, so if the engine isn't getting enough petrol with the nitrous in full swing its because the petrol solenoid is "pinchng" to much petrol,
so a bigger petrol pump could be in order? would that work?
ooorrrrrr how about an extra suppy line straight to the petrol solenoid, but that would mean and extra pump which would mean an extra hole in the petrol tank hmmmmm
edit** oorrrr how about buying a bigger fuel pump say from demon tweeks (a red top or something) and an ajustible presure regulator?

I think Ian332 has an uprated fuel pump in his beasty ?
May be drop him a pm to find out some details ?
I'm hoping for 260-270bhp with my latest mod so i might run into the same probs as you ?
I wonder what the M20 Turbo/super charger chaps are using ?

Thought Red Top pumps were just high flow-low pressure jobbies for carbs?
I'm using 6 Pug Mi16 injectors on mine. Supposed to be good for around 50bhp/cylinder

Thanks for that mate, unfortunately thats for an E34 M5 and i'm not sure if it will fit on to my E28 TB's ?
If he was in this country and didn't have zero feed back i'd buy it and see if it would fit ?

God i love these web translations, makes perfect sense !
I auctioneer here an original E34 M5 S38 air box! The air box is in a perfect and very well received condition! It is complete with the luftkammer, the adaptor pieces on the back and the oil receptacle! It is suitable perfectly for an engine on/change and fits into all E34 M5 of models! Naturally also into all E30 M3 and E34 versions, if one liked to insert a S36 or a S38 engine! Combined with a single throttle plant a clear plus at increased output is to be registered to the M30B35 aggregates! Again with BMW nearly exorbitantly! Here starting from 1, - -? starting price! If you send questions to this article, you me please a Mail. Ebaygebuehren takes over selbtverstaendlich I, dispatch of the buyers. Article is auctioneered by private. Of therefore it no guarantee, warranty, cancelling or conversion. Much fun when offering!

They are here !
I have also got some new uprated injectors on the way from the US( http://www.fiveomotorsport.com/Injector_Sets.asp ) so it kind of gives me the incentive to get off my arse and get them finished.![]()
They are the new design with the four little jets compaired to the single jet old ones.
