I've got what I think are 7 J rims with 205 55 R15 wheels at the moment. I need to change tyres but some of the tyres I'm considering don't come in that size i.e. toyo R888.
I'm not that well up on how tyre sizing works so what tyre size choices do I have with my existing rims?
(I might go with the toyo t1-r which seem to be well liked and do come in 205 55 15)

205/50 R15. Not as tall in the profile (less tyre wobble) and you'll reduce the diff ratio slightly (pick up a couple of rpm).

Thanks. What does the 50 vs. 55 actually mean. I know it relates to tyrewall height but is it a measurement or ratio or something??

It's the tyre wall height expressed as a percentage of the tyre width.
