I have been very busy with my touring recently and on a recent visit to mosely motorsport here in telford i was took out the back and shown this interior...i bought it withoiut hesiation must have been fate :D

Its from an individual lhd 540iT from germany its nappa leather and heated.

I have no idea What individual colour they are so any info apreciated and peoples opinions also welcome as i guess it wont be to everyones taste! Before anyone says it the wood will be gone soon as, as it clashes with the violet big stylee :D

The colour of the leather goes well with the petrol mica pearl paintwork as its got a hint of purple in it. Its mint except a couple of storage indents on the passengerseat that hopefully will go, Inmo its the best colour combo ive seen for a e34! Here you go.....

I also got the black pillar trims so next up is a roof retrim in either standard alcantara or subtle dark violet suede

It is but theres a lot more to this car than the steering wheel :D it is there for two reasons along with the coilovers...to help it with drifting and fast road and it works well due to the shape and size :D

But it will be going as soon as i can find an e34 steering wheel i actualy like as the standard airbag steering wheel doesnt do it for me, any ideas?

Says the man with an alpenis snow plough as a front bumper :D

Only Joking :D

Im not a big drifter to be honest those days have gone for this car, the weight of it and cost of tyres are both to much..and i like it to much to neglect it. If the car was a different colour i wouldnt have bought this interior, because its petrol mica pearl it looks the same colour as the inserts on the seats almost in some lights, its an aquired taste but it all looks like it should be there and its definatly a one off now :D

The seats are much more subtle in the flesh. When you look in through the windows it all looks black and when your in it its quite subtle, i had the flash on when i took the pictures.

It's just a bit pimp - you should buy a purple velvet suit to go drifting in!!

Does suit the car, and if you like it, who cares what anyone else thinks...

That trim is factory. I seen the car it was in. Nigel has had that for YEARS ! I was thinking of buying it to stick in a daytona violet M5 touring I had with silver grey alacantara. The thought of swapping the consoles and dash put me off.

Yes the e21 amongst others, e21's never appealed to me until i seen what was hidden away in there! Its my new local Nigel is a top bloke i cant beleive id never heard of them.

I thought the interior had been stored for a long time due to the smell of it, i guess he has just been waiting for someone with a touring to pop in who's mad enough to buy it :D

It will look much better when i clean the car properly over the weekend as the paint looks suspiciously like navy blue at the minute :o

I like it. Your right about the wood though so what are you going to do? I want to change the wood effect trim in my 46 but finding trim for tourings is a nightmere. I have considered going diy and sanding, priming, painting myself but am worried about the finish I could achive. What are you going for ? plane black would be my guess.

Im undecided what to do as yet its between black wood and carbon fibre wrap. I will go to the scrap yard and pick up another wood set to have a mess with. O and the wood iv got here has an aluminium backing for rigidity but it is real wood should imagine all e34's are the same, was thinking of taking the top coat of and changing the colour of it.

This stuff looks a bit tasty... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT

But it isnt real carbon fibre, it has the advantage of needing no laquer top coat though so i may go this route as this is the stuff seen fitted oem in new cars in reality, not the genuine carbon fibre.

Is the trim in the e46 touring unique over the saloon then? Its the same in for saloons and tourings for the e34

Come to think of it, saloon and touring would be the same. On the 46 the wood appears to be metal all the way through. I dont know about the gear stick though.

Yeah they would be so you should be able to find a alternative trim!
When i get round to doing them il take some pictures as the e34 trims have a metal backing which looks like an insert to keep it rigid. You can see the wood at the sides i chipped a bit off to make sure it was real wood as i thought it would of just been plastic tbh.
