size and depth is the main issue, heard 12/13cm can fit but 10cm goes in much easier, assuming you dont want to have the grill sticking out.
i went for a 10cm Pioneer 2 way and they sounded ok - as far as such a small cheap speaker can sound ok!

I've fitted Alpine SXE1325s, they're 13cm and fit perfectly.

Depth is an important thing to take into account as there is not much space behind the doorcard. I had to make some custom speaker covers as my speakers had too much depth.

Possibly so, I'm only running straight from the Alpine head unit, plenty good enough for me.Blitz wrote:That looks good. Only thing RMS is bit low as my amp is 4x75rms.PG325 wrote:I've fitted Alpine SXE1325s, they're 13cm and fit perfectly.

The speaker size is 13cm. Why would you want to reduce the diameter when you don't need to?mrLEE30 wrote:size and depth is the main issue, heard 12/13cm can fit but 10cm goes in much easier, assuming you dont want to have the grill sticking out.

first things first how much you looking at spending ??
ive just put alpine g componts 13cm in the front and rear of my e30 cab sound mint and cost a£115 a set ??
all so running alpine 9060r head unit alpine mono 1000 watts amp and alpine x2 12 type r subs 1500 watts each. plus a power cap and 4 gauage wireing kit this sounds very loud in a cab with roof down cost me £1300 for everthing.
so you just need to set a buget mate??

my standard ones were 10cm Nakamichi speakers, never thought to try 13 cm to be honest!B7 wrote:The speaker size is 13cm.
