as said, i personally favour Gairloch since we have already done Ullapool twice now, Gairloch would bring a welcome change and the views round this house look amazing

My chance of going on the hoon have shrunk completey. I bought a house and get the keys the last friday in August :D but as it needs new central heating, wiring, kitchen, bathroom, evict the wood worm and knock down a few walls I think I will not be out again till 2012!!!! Think I'll put the E30 projects on hold for a couple of years!!

Sorry all, I was really looking forward to the run.

Congrats on the house purchase Ronan, bet you're looking forward to getting stuck into all those little jobs.

Nevermind, I'm sure you'll need a break at some point and will be out and about in theE30 soon ;)

We've found a wee place just outside Gairloch which might suit our needs for the Saturday night.
Nothing fancy, but claims to offer some decent views.

Carry outs would be the order of the day tho

It woyld give us a bit more driving/sightseeing time, or we just press on to Ullapool as originally intended.

Thoughts??
Lovin the look of that place Dave, I'm up for it.

Still lurking here Guys, but won't be able to join you.
I'm running short of leave days, and need to keep some for around Xmas time. I'm also trying to put some spare cash away in the "touring fund" winkeye

Had a chat with Jake earlier and he has no objections to the Gairloch property.

Shall we go ahead and book it for the Saturday Night?.

It means we'll have time for a hoon roon Skye and still leave us time to get there at a reasonable hour for a beveridge or 2 before the sun dips beow the horizon.

Just off to sort out accomadation for the Friday night.

Has anyone booked accomadation for the Saturday night yet??

Everyone happy with Gairloch for the Saturday night??

Do you want the money on the day or beforehand Dave ?

Also, it's been a while since the last Scottish meet, can we get one tied into this event ? (progress on the Meets Organisers section pls).

If you want me to book the Gairloch hostel on the Saturday night, they charge a 10% non returnable deposit.

I could book it if that's what's required. cancellations are permitted up to 48hrs prior to arrival without any penalties.
Also, it's been a while since the last Scottish meet, can we get one tied into this event ? (progress on the Meets Organisers section pls).
Could possibly, if there's any interest.

Not many members in that paticular area though.

Got an idea for next year which requires the use of a ferry or 2. will post up details later

"Not the best hostel we've stayed in but was close to getting to the slopes and going out in fort william. Dorms were good but we weren't allowed to drink our own alcohol which was a bit annoying. "

It's amazing how much you can get done when the missus is out of the country.

Next job is to get the car through an MOT and learn to drive an E30 with a clutch again !!

Colin, you can get a B&B in town for about £20ish if you fancied it.
There's one just up the hill from the Bank St Lodge which is convenient

Started prep work today.
Rebuilt M3 diff with 40% lock up fitted
E36 rack and aluminium coupling fitted as well.

Need to get the tracking done before we head off though, as it's way out at the moment.
