hey people(again)sorry to be a pain, but i have looked on the net and can't get the answer i am looking for. i have 14" alloys on at the moment and wanted to go up to a 17" maybe an 18",is this possible at all?xx
yes you can mate, anything is possible, on my last e30 i had 17s and it was lowered 60mm all round, but the ride was harsh, 18 are not advisable really, the rde would kill you, safe bet id say 16s, ive just down graded from 17 to 16 and the ride is perfect
Hope this helps mate

ta babe, that's fab, also do you know what size springs are needed to lower it,my springs that are on right now are awful, everytime i hit a speed bump,it bounces back down with a bang!!! it is way too springy. also the suspension. could you tell me all u know hun!!!(typical girl)lol.xx
there are loads of spring kits about, ebay would be your best bet, being as i dont know what car you have i cant put any links up as they vary between cars, if your going to put 17 inch wheels on it then id say a 40mm drop would look perfect, and the ride wouldent be to bad, any lower and you will have nothing but problems

i can do it hun.xx
35-40mm is the common drop. Any lower is sump cracking territory!
As Brent said, 16" wheels are perfect for the E30. These cars suit smaller but wider wheels rather than OTT bling rollers on astrobelt tyres.
(EDIT: god damn google images...)

Put the photo up on the net first - upload it onto facebook or flickr or whatever.
Right click on it once you've got it uploaded. Click 'copy image location'.
Come back on here and type and paste the image location in between the two image codes, where I've put dots.
You'll make pacerpete a very happy boy!
