I like the idea of caravans and commercials but I would suggest leaving it as cars for one more year anyhow.

If we market early and target sensibly we have every chance of filling the place just with cars

And sorry Gareth - bikers are like Uni students - individually I've never met one I don't like but get them en masse and my god     :x
As I get older I realize that you can't please everyone - pissing everybody off is however a piece of cake

No and nor am I, I'm not adverse to a little 2 wheel fun, however (most) BMW motorcyclists are another breed apart.

Classic BMW bikes are just stunning too. And again the pount I'm making is 'car' os too narrow in description and thinking, on all counts. Shall we exclude all VW campers too? T series vans?

The word 'auto' also has the benefit of being the German for car too.

in regards to the lack of mercs

i'm sure ross harris would have contacts with the merc owners club ( he used to until very recently had a merc 190 evo)

may be worth asking the question iain ?

A change of name is a bad idea IMO. There really weren't many people confused by the existing name, & those that were had randomly come across us on the day - hardly a problem. A name change, as well as potentially putting some types of vehicle off, would potentially be more confusing I reckon, as well as necessitating lots of changes eg to our website...

If anyone was unsure about what the whole thing was about means either the name isn't descriptive enough or the pre event marketing failed.

We have a brand name which we should stick to, however we need more clarification on the website and the flyers !

Clay and myself agree with Gordy too. We had a load of people saying to us when we were parking em up that the site and the flyers were not very clear. Also I think there should have been some sinage of some kind dotted around the area leading into the venue as there was nothing apart from when ou went down the drive. I don't know if that would be down to the zone or the venue though. To be fair for the first year it was a great effort and a learning curve. Next year will be bigger/ better and more defined x x

Absolutely.

Plans are afoot to make things clearer to punters coming into Beaulieu and also to increase the advertising.

Of note we were on over 150 (approx) websites, had web prescence, in the Daily Telegraph motoring supplement, not sure what more we can do ! However, we have our washup/lesson learned coming next week and we can discuss. Lets all bring things to the table and we can tweek as needed.

Great to hear all the feedback its the way forward !
