Cheers for the info Steve.
I'll try and stop being a drama queen and get some rent in the screen and take it for a run out and see what happens. Kind of taken the edge off getting it almost finished

yeah it's literally touching the electrode in the centre (or whatever it is called)Rav335uk wrote:No3 looks like the gap on the right is out.

Has that engine had a lambda sensor fitted Steve? Plugs will last 60k + on an M50 thats running right

it's a 'custom' built stainless thing no ports, and blows like a cheap hookerDezzy wrote:What exhaust on your turd Steve?
Does it have any ports in the system? If you need a boss welding in I have them here buddy.![]()
Sorry for spam Lee. All brings 80 pages though
Well spotted Lee. That's definitely your problem. An electric discharge will always follow the path of least resistance, and will therefore arc across the shortest gap, which means that the spark would have been jumping from the centre to left electrode everytime. With a gap that small you'd most certainly have had incomplete combustion on your 3rd cylinder.E30BeemerLad wrote:Plug #3 - Look at the left electrode![]()
