Hi all,
I'm looking to get my car re-sprayed at some point but not too sure on prices. The body is in pretty good condition and only a few dents/scuffs. rust is minimal.
so heres the question....how much do you think a sand down, full prep and full re-sray set me back.
Was looking for a guesstimate as to how much it would cost and any places near to london where i can get this done.
Cheers

You pay for what you get, anywhere between £200 - £2000....

750 sounds a very good price silver, nice work.
I know of a good spray guy/shop with ovens in Sydenham, very good, nice guy who does loads of work on Audis for the local main dealers.
If you want I'll dig up some numbers if you want.

well cash and quality is obviously the main issue....needed a price idea so i know how much i'll be digging into the savings fund.
cheers for all the help guys. I'll have a look at some of the local bodyshops. Liverpool is a bit out of my way, so im sticking to about 30miles from where i am. fingers crossed i find the one.
Your help has been greatly appreciated.

You really do get what you payed for in this case.....
For 750 GBP on the face of it that does seem like a good price.... HOWEVER I guarantee that it will be done with the cheapest paints and materials.. Later on the paint will fade and probably peel off..
To paint a 2 door e30 it would cost me almost 750GBP in materials and that is without me even charging for labour and we have not even repaired any rust or stripped the car yet.
2000GBP is getting close to the correct price but it would want to have the smallest amount of repairs needed.

It should be costing around 2500 pounds and it depends on the quality of the paint also.
