Just wondered if anyone had a point of view on BMW's own customers services not being operated by BMW in the not to near distant future?

Do you mean the staff in dealerships will be supplied by an external company or the call centre operation side of things?

The complaints/customer service staff that are in BMW's Head Office - ie the folk you ring up.

They are being outsourced to a external company who will pretend they are BMW.

If it's set up right and the personnel involved are adequately trained, then there's no reason it shouldn't work. I'd expect BMW to do a decent job on it. I've been dealing with Alfa lately, from dealer level up to head office in Italy. It's been an instructive experience to say the least, and I can honestly say that it makes you realise how sorted the BMW network is.

It'll be handed over to the company that does customer service for Audi and VW (who have just apparently cancelled their agreements with said company....!)

It will be based in Rotherham and the company apparently also handle calls for O2 and Samsung...!

as i have never called bmw customer services, and probably never will, it doesnt bother me in the slightest tbh

Oh blooming eck. Had to deal with VW over tons of probs with a new golf in 03 and it got to the point where I sent VW in wolfsburg telling them that unless they fixed my car I would make the trip over and see how far I gould drive it through their reception.

ended up with the car fixed and the stereo stolen by a vw monkey and then replaced with an inferiour model. Wasn't he surprised when he left work to go home

Thank god for the zone so I won't have to deal with any of those muppets again.
