the one that attaches to the gearbox? if so could you tell me roughly how much it is, and if its available from euro car parts? i think thats the reason whyi go through so many downpipes, i haven't got one :roll:

Hi, you can`t buy the complete mount its all individual parts and for all the bits it works out to about 30quid! i priced it up last month

Iv'e had 2 x 318i without a bracket on the gearbox, and no problems with cracked exhausts.

I couldn't tell you if ECP sell them. sorry.

yeah its all the parts in bottom of that picture, you can`t buy as a set and i don`t think eurocarparts sell it either i looked into it about a month ago

ok then, the one that connects to the "car" should be on there,..

the longer one costs 7 odd quid, the shorter "under" one costs a fiver.. all the rubber bits and bocs a couple of quid..

i bought the lot last week or so to put on mine only to find out (should have known this aswell) that the downpipes are too fat for the bracket :-x

will have to fabricate a lower section to wrap round it instead ;)

B26202 DOWN PIPE BRACKET UPPER E30 318i 1.8i; 1.8i Cat. 83 Cat.; 85kW M40 87>91 Ԛ£3.40

and

B26234 DOWN PIPE BRACKET LOWER E30 318i 1.8i; 1.8i Cat. 83 Cat.; 85kW M40 87>91 Ԛ£1.80
Plus you'll need a couple of nut's and bolts. So it's a grand total of Ԛ£5.20 + VAT 8)

Bought mine from GSF for my 325 :thumb:

think thats for the 6 pot's, im sure mines is a single pipe at that point, looks like a trip to GSF, if i can find it :roll: .
it keeps splitting round the pipes at the flange where it joins the manifold.

I bought one last year,from either GSF or Eurocarparts, and wasn't impressed at all by the quality. Definitely not OEM.
It was badly stamped out, holes not lining up and out of shape. A right piece of tat. I got it fitted eventually, but whether it's supporting the exhaust or pulling it off I'm not sure.
Dealer part next time I think.
