Hello forum!

This is my first post and am looking for some advice about a 320 cab I've just viewed.

It's generally in good nick and the engine and (switch. auto) box seem good. There's a few creaks from the rear suspension but nothing major. I've had a thorough look around and the only worrying rust I can find is this:

The fella wants £1400 (137k on the clock, g reg) and it's just had a new hood. Is the cost of the repair/replace outweighing the rest of the price?

What do you all reckon?

Thats not goo.d, theres better out there for that money, keep looking.

just my opinion, but the 320 auto is not the best buy either, just too slow and thirsty!
Selection of BMW hardtops available, please ask!

Thanks Z3I.

The only thing is that all the decent ones are in the south, living in Manchester I haven't seen many that are less than 150 miles away!

Do you think that arch is indicative of further damage? If not I don't mind paying a couple of ton for a fix.

Don't bother. For £1400 you can do a lot better.

Nothing wrong with 320i auto's, by the way :D .

I reckon I'll leave it then.

I'll cry if I don't find a decent one soon!

your best off buying a cab in the dormant months.

front wings are easily replaced.

That's a new arch, then the sill is probably rotten through, the inner arch is probably much worse.....

As above, move on and find something better. :D

100 % agree, the best to buy is December/January, especially after Christmas when the seller is skint, you can get a few bargains then!

That is at least a £600 repair bill, if you want to do it properly of course. Cabs are generally a lot better on the rust front, they have to be neglected much more to get into a bad state of rust
