rear folding seats??

hi, just a quick 1, i have a touring, but i was wondering do the rear seats fold down in a 2 or 4 door e30 saloon?? cheers

The seat backrest? No. There is however, a 'ski hatch' in these models which allow long thin items to be stored through from the boot into the rear of the cabin. You do, however, need a rear backrest with the fold - down armrest to use this function.

The steel panel behind the seat backs in a saloon is a very important structural part of the body. A lot of the extra weight of a touring is in the structure that compensates for its removal.
