m50 swap wont turn over help needed please

I've decided to have another go at my m50 project but can't get the engine to turn over all that happens is it the starter clicks i've tried attaching another earth but same thing happens has anyone got any ideas?

ive connected another power cable and it turns over fine am i missing something here? i've been using the original wiring actually on the engine but modified the loom

Have you connected the main cable from the battery to the starter solenoid? (wouldnt be the first time someone has left this lead off..)

i did the same whoever removed the original loom loop the starter cable back to the battery terminal its now turning over fine
