Hi All,

My 1989 Touring's rear washer has decided to stop working. I've narrowed the fault down to the piece of tube/channel that runs through the rear wiper motor.

Water comes out of the pipe that connects to this, but nothing comes out of the nozzle. I've tried a piece of wire in there but nothing doing.

Has anyone had a similiar issue? All I can think of doing is replacing the wiper motor.

Help!!!

Oh dear, sounds like my problem!

Motor runs, no water. I also found a split pipe where it goes from the car into the tailgate. £1.39 inline connector sorted that one!

The pipe can split under the hinge trim or just under the headlining.

The washer jet is incorporated into the black plastic end of the wiper arm. The bit that covers the nut and hollow spindle. The jets(2 of them) will most likely be blocked.

I removed the washer cover to leave the nut exposed that holds on the wiper arm, but no washer fluid came out of that either!

I'm thinking I may need to replace the wiper motor assembly as this appears to be where the blockage is?
