Front Valance painting

Is it something that be done with spray cans? And I cant work out if mines diamond black or just plaint black. (Pre-facelift)

If it were me, and it will be soon as mine needs this doing.. I'd be giving it a good rub down, the a lick of grey primer, the some stone chip spray to give it a bit more texture and then a top coat of the colour of the car.

Mines okay but the paint chipped away at the center. Ordered 400ml of Diamond black.

a rattle can is fine for the job as it doesnt really have a shine.

for my rear valance i just used some rough sandpaper and keyed the surface then sprayed over the top, still lasting a year on

i cleaned with white spirit before paint and sprayed some stone chip sheild on, just the hammerite one, its no where near as thick as the bmw one

rub it down as best you can.
Treat any bare metal/rusty bits with Kurust or similar, then etch prime any bare metal areas.
Get an aerosol can of stonechip form Halfrauds and spray it with that.
Leave overnight. Next day, paint over with body colour, then clearcoat.
If the stonechip hasn't had a chance to dry fully, it'll make the top coat crinkle.
Obviously won't need flatting and polishing due to the nature of the undercoat.
Be good as new.

I'm lazy, and can't be bothered sanding the front valance down with paper, if I got a really soft wire wheel fitted onto my drill, dya reckon that'd key the valance up okay for priming?
