I had a simular issue when I tried to do a loom myself.

Dan checked it out a found it was a diagnostic wire not connected correctly. Maybe the same with yours mate. Who did the loom?

Dan will tell you straight away I am a numpty when it comes to electricary

Thats an E34 loom from the car the engine came from, I fitted the C101 plug, but that melted wire would be caused by a bad earth (engine strap)
Id say that is the earth to the oil level sender, if it is you can just snip it off at the joint in the pic as I dont think your car has check control

Check the earth wire at the oil level sender first to see if its also melted, I cant think of anything else it would be but best to make sure first.

Take the earth straps off, rub them clean with some wet and dry then re-fit with some vaseline 8)

I haven't a clue as to the verdict, I have driven it less than 100 yards in the time I have owned it, this car is just an itch,

M20 forever :D

oh and dan, you were right on the wiring :thumb:

tidied the bay up it now looks 100% better, re-taped up all the underbonnet loom and cleaned everything

Nothing would suprise me with steve.

He had a 12v that was the bollox on the road a couple of months and moved that on. It means nothing

well spent a week dusting stuff on the ring road and getting used to the extra valves... this thing is quick ! definatly has the edge over my H27, and that was quick !

me likes it :D
Dan also has a plan for me to get a few more horses out of it

time to make it prettier I think, so booked it into a local bodyshop for a full job, it goes tommorow....

Tech 1 cabby skirts... is this wrong on a facelift ? can't decide so will have em painted then decide on fitting !

Image

also found a few old pics from when Malc owned it !

Who the f*ck through that turbo at that motor mate. The install looks f*cking sh1te.

The lamda made a difference then? I thought M50's didn't need them

I like tech1 skirts on some facelifts. I think it would pull it off.
Got any wheels sorted?
