paul

I get my filters etc from :

http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/p/Car-Parts

as recommended by the folks on here...

Check your handbook for oil viscosity, depends on the age of the motor?

No fancy window dropping on an E30, I'm afraid! Not impossible to add though.

Get the filter and sump gasket, plus a gallon of DX fluid from Eurocarparts. Cost: £30 roughly.
Just make sure to keep everything clean once you drop the pan on the transmission.
Measure the fluid that comes out and put the same back in. Go for a drive and check the dipstick. Don't put too much fluid in, or the transmission may slip..
