Used some of the above on my very badly stained
and filthy drivers seat on Sunday and i honestly can,t believe how well it has cleaned it. Pics later.
Now i,m very tempted to try it on my cab roof, i have the
waterproofing renovator to put on afterwards.
Any thoughts from people that know about this stuff?

I think you'll find it's G101, not C101.

It is a very good cleaner, but I'm not sure I'd be using such a powerful degreaser on a cab hood.

Ian.

most auto smart products like the 101 come labelled under several names its just a heavy duty tfr if i remember right so unless you use it neat and leave it on too long it should be ok
how are you applying it

i've not read it all but i got the idea bud and that sucks big time
just shows though a bit of graft goes a long way most people would have written them seats off
my cab looked very similar to that when it came back from paint white n red wet residue and polish everywhere i still keep finding it i was lucky we broke it down first the only thing left on mine interior wise was the dash and that took some cleaning

Diluting it to about 10.1 with warm water and applying it with a pump bottle.
Then just agitating it with a nail brush and a bucket of cold water.

g101 is brilliant stuff, excellent for leatherseats just get a scrubbing brush (not to stiff though)
and work it in and then whipe it off, be warned though on anything like a shiny surface it leaves a film over it which is quite slippy( as i found out on my kitchen floor!!)
it also removes oil stains off concrete, excellent for removing nicotene stains, ware rubber gloves with it though cos if you`ve got office boy hands it`ll make them sore!!

Man, that bodyshop guy who did the disappearing act has a lot to answer for. It's great you are persevering and getting the car to a great standard despite the setback. Good on you!

G101 is really good shit, you can use it on more or less anything even leather if you water it down 50/50

I used to use it back in the day when i was a car valeter and it was one fo the best weapons in my arsenal

pac, what are your thoughts on using this, in a very diluted form, on a softop?.

Toby, cheers. The way i see it is, this car has never once let me down and
has given me years of pleasure and enjoyment. Now it needs what little help
i can give it. I,m a complete numbty when it comes to spanner time but i,ve
learnt how to do the Timing belt, change a head and a multitude of other stuff
i would never have dreamt of attempting before.

There’s no harm in trying it, even if you don’t dilute it its very unlikely it will do any damage but I’d still water it down to at least a 50/50 mix.

Soft tops are a pain to clean so I would use something specifically designed to clean soft tops, the Auto Glym stuff is very good, and you can also use interior shampoo on soft tops which is especially good on mohair roofs
