seriously thinking of having an m52 2.8 conversion on my touring.
What sort of mpg can i expect if i go ahead?
Any experiences appreciated.
Thanks

i did torquay to plymouth for a rolling road day (totnes back roads and dual carriageway) then a week of "town driving" to and from work and i averaged 27mpg. Very good considering it was running a 3.64 diff with the m52 gearbox - revs very high on the dual carriageway (3.6k iirc!)

I havent worked it out since ive changed to the 3.25lsd but i've had a noticable increase in mpg

No harm in asking... up until the point you say gearboxes :chuckle: But then you don't have to use an m52 gearbox like i have which caused us a few issues.

I know i wouldnt bother with another m50 again - m52b28 is so much better than an m50 engine (although an m50 is still a very good engine for an e30)
