That engine & bay are fantastic looking! Loving the paint colour too  You can tell just by looking at this, that there has been a LOT of time & effort put into this swap, not just a case of haul one engine out and drop another in it's place.

Didn't have much luck with the 'zaust, but that's another story.

Hey guys! Just to let you know... It's back on the road

I'd just like to extend a thank you to Neil and my Dad, Paul, Ronan and Grant for their help with this project. It was the first time I've done anything like this so it was a learning curve.

She's running sweet at the moment, however there is one annoying niggle which is the exhaust needs a bit of realignment, but hey that can wait...

You've pretty much nailed it there :D, think I'll run about in it for a wee while, let the old finances recover!! Then, possibly bodywork, then more power, bigger brakes, beefier suspension, I may even depending on money track it, due to it's non sunroof status.

Cheers again man, awww that's not so good what happened to the 2door? How badly damaged was it?

I'm intrigued by the touring project, you gonna clean the engine up before you put it in this time?

Where abouts in sunny Glasgow are you?

It wasnt good Jonas mate was doing bout 60+ when i crashed it drivers side inner wing behind headlight is pretty rippled raidiator was touching the block etc and the inner wing was rubbing off the tyre
so took the engine out it as its a 1.8 and the touring i got is a 1.6 so it makes sense to fit it so ill give it a wee clean before i fit it and if im honest i prefered the 2 door but at the end of the day at least ive stil got an E30 which is what counts
Im in the southside of glasgow a place called Clarkston if you know where that is and as i said it would be nice to meet up with you or neil or some of the others some time
Id like to take neil up on his offer of an engine refurb but as im only on bennafits due to not being able to work through health problems and ive a renault 5 gt turbo to try and keep on the road also funds are very tight indeed so i do what i can
anyway if you let me know where in glasgow you are then ill defo come and meet you if you are up for that instead of coming through to the garage in drem as were in glasgow it kinda makes more sense if you would be up for that
once again i think your car is looking fantastic its realy a job well done take care speak soon buddy
