You'll need something like nail varnish remover or some such toot to remove the sticky muck left behind after you have removed the main bulk of it Mark.

Cannot see Mark having much call for nail varnish remover,at least,in the quantities required for a car bonnet!

I don't like them so that not in the rules. New foam will do me fine. Plus at some point Matt will be painting mine so he can sort it. winkeye

Spray-top bottle of white spirit or something like that, let it have a good soak in, pinch the plastic spreader for doing the icing on the xmas cake, spray and scrape. The bedsheet's a good idea unless you want your neighbours thinking you're the kind of person who hoovers their engine bay.....

take the bonnet off and gently place it upside down on the lawn...
soak in thinners and it just rubs off ,

if your council like me, you will probably spill thinners everywhere and kill all the grass :mad:

Mark i replaced the sound deadening on an old Rover bonnet many years ago i used silicone sealer to glue it on i didnt even clean off the old glue and it worked a treat :D dont eff about with thinners i want you sane when working on my Cabby matee winkeye
