usman, for some strange reason most seem to be autos, funny enough i've grown to prefer the auto for a cab. Couldn't have it in a coupe though.

I used to have an auto sebring grey cab and it was a nice car to drive, but wasnt much of a drivers car compared to a manual.
apparently a convertable drives better in auto form.

Nice one gazza. Very useful info there. Mine is the grey with black leather on a J and it's manual too. Ho and a coded top too, so sounds like i'm lucky all round

The auto ain't too bad as it's a weekend cruise kinda thing. But i fully understand the entertainment thing of a manual. If it was my only car maybe a manual would be in order, but I don't mind the auto in the convert as my manual mitzy keeps me entertained..!

I did wonder about the black interior but as i didn't know for sure, i didn't say anything. Didn't mean to pick holes in the original post, its just best if the correct info is availible for the endless motorsport questions that come up. Maybe a sticky with acurate info would be helpfull to those who need it?
Your 100% correct mate.
This topic comes up every week.
The thread has a good basis for a sticky, from the powers that be.
Especially during the summer months.

Hi,
Just joined the "Zone" having picked up a 325i cabriolet, MalachitgrÃan Metallic with beige leather, 79K genuine miles with good history (mainly BMW).
Does anyone know how many of the colour combo above were built for the uk market?
Cheers,
Nicky.

There is no way to tell fella, BMW don't seem to be able to offer such information, and DVLA wouldn't record interior spec so they would not be able to help either.
But if you take your VIN to your local stealership they will be ableto print off your vehicles original specification.

MalachitgrÃan is not a common colour for a convertible in this country but its anyones guess as to how many were produced in this colour.
No, standard 325i engine and running gear.aze30 wrote:so were the motorsport editions abit more powerful than the normal 325 cabbys?
Best thing for everyone to do who think they have a Motorsport, take your car to your local BMW dealers and ask them for a printout of the spec sheet of the Vin number of your car. Its the best and the easiest way to find out.
Saves all the time of just speculating and talking about it
