I'm guessing you mean £16,000, which imo is not to high of a budget for one of these, so you will be looking at a 80k+ miler, so just be aware that this is the sort of mileage where stuff starts to go wrong.
But I'm sure you know what your looking at.
Oh BTW insurance will most definately kill the idea.

They're the entry level Alpina, they have the looks and a few bolt on mods, A bit like the C2.5
just buy a 320d, remap it and get some genuine alpina wheels
you could probably do that under £10,000

But 320d's are dreadfully common. I'd say a 330d is a alternative to the Alpina as its in the same price bracket.

An extra turbo is a fairly substantial bolt on mod...Alex wrote:They're the entry level Alpina, they have the looks and a few bolt on mods, A bit like the C2.5

i've purchased a e90 320D (177bhp). Booked in for a remap next saturday!. Im stuck between the two alpina wheels!. I like the look of the e39 18" alpina split rim or the 19" alpinas you got on a D3!..thought i'd go for the cheaper option in the end as my insurance is only 1k!
happy days!

Only the face lift D3 and an extra turbo and thats way out of his price range.e30shed wrote:An extra turbo is a fairly substantial bolt on mod...Alex wrote:They're the entry level Alpina, they have the looks and a few bolt on mods, A bit like the C2.5

Doesn't matter if you opt for the 18's or 19's,you can wave goodbye to between £2200 & £2500ish(with tyres) or there abouts, and you'll most likely have a 4 week wait due them being on back order from Germanygod-father88 wrote:Im stuck between the two alpina wheels!. The prices I listed were for the single piece staggered (8j &9J)softlines.
Splitties will of course be slightly more if you get them direct from Alpina through the UK dealer network
