alusil identification

Can anyone tell me how too tell a alusil engine from a nikisil.Looking at one tomorrow and want too make sure its a alisil block

Have a look at the back of the block under the starter motor, there is a bung in there on the updated ones and a blank hole on the earlier ones iirc.

i think alusil blocks were m60/62 only. the choices for m52 are nikasil or steel liner. the pic andy provided shows a nikasil block. a tag screwed on is a steel lined block.
