Polish and porting 325 head

Just wanted to find out if i get the head polished and ported will it make much difference to the performance? i currently have a 6 branch stainless steel manifold full stainless steel exhaust system, and it is also chipped. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

The standard head is pretty good. Doing a load of work to it would be perhaps the last thing you'd do. Other mods beckon first.
