I am putting together a track car and when i bought it the kit had been painted but not fitted, my MOT station fitted the bumpers to get the ticket but I think I might be missing a piece off the front.

Does anybody know looking at the pics below?

This seems to fit over the rad at the bottom, leaving the section in the middle uncovered,

oh and one of the new sticker

Looks to me like you have a pre facelift car with a later front bumper, the early 'jimmy hill' skirt you have bolts directly on to the valence but the bit above it is not covered. the holes for the front fogs are partially covered by the later bumper

Those chin spoilers fetch good money, if its for a track car i would sell it and fit a standard one. just a thought

Here is a tech 1 kit you can see the difference to yours

No that is an 'IS' lip which is for post facelift, for full coverage you need a tech 1 front end and an early front bumper.

I am right up the creak then?

Can I not just get hold of the bottom section off a pre facelift front end and keep the painted bumper I've already got?

you need an early bumper and either that chin spoiler you already have on it or an MTech 1 front spoiler.

Both are tech 2 'style' copies and are fibreglass which means they will crack and fall apart as soon as they see a speed bump or small mammal :D

If it was mine, I would stick the chin spoiler on and get some prefacelift fog blanks to cover the holes in the valence, job done :D

So I know you were all wondering what happened next, yeah like you give a stuff, anyway the conclusion is we are painting the lower part, fitting the Jimmy Hill spoiler and making up some ducting to take air from the foglamp holes to the brakes
