I've snapped two rockers in my mint red 88 325 and have a second 88 325 (bit of a shed), my question is can I swap the heads over until the brocken rockers are sorted? Both engines have the same L shaped idle valve so I'm assuming that they are both early 2.5's or will this swap cause problems??

Any help on this one much appreciated :thumb:

Why would you want to do that :screwy:

You can do that, but you may aswell fix the rockers as you've got the head off!

I'm going to sort the broken rockers while the heads off as I've now got all the parts :P.
The tappets are much louder than my other 325, this is why I want to swop the heads over winkeye.

Still don't understand why the rockers snapped as the previous owner had the head rebuilt at a cost of Ԛ£1100 (have receipt) about a year ago at a reputable BMW specialist. What's even more confusing is that it's done 50,000 miles less than my 'other' 325 and feels slow in comparison???

It's a pain this happened now cause I've got an E34 M30 3.5 lump  sitting here waiting to be fitted, just need to collect gearbox and a few other bit's....
