Original BMW from Spadge

I'd had several aftermarket sets of plastecine rubbish till Spadge sorted me out a set of originals.

I've heard that BMW nuts only have 16 combinations, so criminals can easily have all of them and nick your wheels. Could be b******s though...

I went for McGard Ultra locking wheelnuts. I got them from here for £40 http://www.ca-automotive.co.uk/variants ... wMjk=.html

They seemed to get the best reviews so I bought them and they do seem well made.

Spend what you like on locking wheel nuts, if the thief wants 'em he'll get'em off:

I was recommending value for money and decent grade steel.

Got a set of TPI locking bolts on ebay... only problem is the 'key' isn't quite deep enough and if you're not careful can slip off the bolt when you're tightening them...

The good news is I thought when it slipped that it would strip the pattern off the head, but not a scratch... must be made of some tough stuff!

Some interesting answers in this thread :)

I went to BMW as I needed it sorted today and they said they had uptated the design when I was on the phone. They look very simular to the McGard ones other than they are black. They were £32 inc vat.

Anoyingly though only come with one key though, where as I remember the older type used to come with 2.

These don't look that clever to be honest as I've seen a few broken in my time. Lets hope these are made from better materials than the previous ones.

That said they do look more secure than the earlier BMW ones :)

Time will tell :)

Many thanx for all the input
