have a look on realoem, it may tell you the size of the torx bit. as for the de-lock, i've never done it but if you have a kit you've bought it should explain in it? if you're doing it DIY, then you can take the lock barrel off quite easily by accessing the inside of the door i.e. removing the door card, then there is a two pronged spring clip which slides off sideways which holds the the barrel in position; once this is removed you can unhook the small metal bar which operates the lock mechanism and disconnect the lock heater plug (if you have one), and pull the barrel through; with a bit of a wiggle she'll come. the small metal bar you removed will be the one you'll have to attach to the solenoid you'll need to use to operate the door lock from the outside.

hope this helps

If it's a facelift there are two T55 bolts holding the bumper in place. Hopeully they wont be rusted to buggery.
Remove them and slide the bumper off. Job done.

Not sure what this metal bar is that needs to be removed. The only thing holding the barrel in place is a C-clip. A screwdriver, or similar item slotted through one of the holes in the skin, can be used to prise it free, to the left.
It's one of those jobs that are easier to do than explain. The tricky bit is actually manouevring about between the door skins while trying to get some sense of what you're doing.

Once the clip is removed you can wiggle the barrel out.

The solenoid is attached to a metal frame that fits around the barrel. It's kept in place by another clip.

Try to keep note of how everything is assembled as you thrash about with one arm stuck between the skins, one holding the screwdriver and a torch between your teeth.

That's how I did it, in any case :D .

Then it's the "simple" matter of reversing the procedure with the replacement barrel.

ah when you said you wewre de-locking it i thought you meant you were removing the locks all together i.e. having no lock on the outside of the car a la smooth look that some people do.

You could use an e30 solenoid from the central locking system, you'd have to mount it somewhere else in the door where there's room, possibly rivet a bracket to the inner door? you could repeat this on both doors and attach it to the small bar which the barrel turns to operate the door lock. as for wiring, you'd have to have a remote central locking kit for the wiring to operate the solenoids.
hope this helps
