Wasn't sure if this was a technical QA or performance/mods post, but here goes it.

Does anyone have/heard of a preferred manufacturer for strut braces? I know one-piece constuction is better for stength and reliability, but what about pros and cons between steel and alum (besides weight, obviously)?

One more, has anyone use the front LOWER brace and/or rear strut brace? How practical/useful are these for a track use and daily driver being one car?

Thanks all

For the top strut brace, I don't think you can go wrong with the Sparco single tube variety. I believe it is referred to as the M3 strut brace. Usually costs about £55 and is a fairly substantial bit of kit.

The RPM strut brace is well made and does the job nicely.Kind of the same design as the sparco one.

Thanks you guys. Any info on practicality of a front lower strut brace (in conjuction with upper?) or rear strut brace?

I have the Sparco double tube on mine. Excellant bit if kit, never tried the lower one, but have had the rear sparco jobbie. IMHO the rear didn't make any real difference, as I don't track the car or anything. Hardly made any difference..

HTH.....sorry no pics to hand.

I kinda like the looks of the double tube, myself. I think I heard elsewhere that the rear doesn't do much. Probably just that little tiny bit extra that only makes the .01 seconds difference in a autoX race or something.

TBH, I don't know if you CAN use a front upper/lower brace setup... That's one thing I wanted to learn from this thread without sounding like too much of a newb.

So, is upper/lower brace combo setup possible, and if so, is it worth doing? Woudl they both just be doing the same, or will they add to eachother?
