The guy standing behind that is the Owner. Dan. I used to work with him. It's a properly, properly nice car. He's spent so much on it. It's even got a CF dash!

Couple of shots that I took.

My favourites of the show were the white mk1 with the clean engine bay, the type two detective camper and the white VW type III (i think that's what it is)...

Some nice looking cars, deffintly a euro show

that modern engine in that green mk1 golf looks pretty cool

People who do the euro look are confused in life, they modify their cars and enter concurs events :D :D

love the ratty vw camper, usually dont like rat cars as some people try too hard

1) Seems the new thing for VW guys is Lambo parts! Not the cheapest option!

2) erm. That's a TDI engine in a Mk1!!

3) I love those minimalist engine bays. Especially when you compare it to the one in that red touring

4) Any more pics of the matt black wrapped M3?

The lamgo golf won the best car in show. Was running realy big lambo wheels, brakes and calipers and a thorough interior. Only thing it was missing was a lambo steering wheel and doors!!

TDI engine looked really cool in the car and that won second place in the show and best paint.

Unfortunately haven't got anymore pics of the flat black M3,but it didn't have an S14 engine. I think it was an old 535i engine, but I'm not sure.

some seriously stunning cars there

the pea green mk1 with tdi engine won best paint. it was stunning with an all original interior too. a 20v turbo r32 etc would have been too easy to do to that car.

Nice. I want those exact same wheels. It seems like the VW boys spend much more money. Must cost silly amounts to get it to that standard.

Also it possible to have such a minimalist engine bay in some of them? Do they run?

the VW scene is way ahead of the bmw one, and it is far more diverse.

and yes the minimalist engine bays contin running and powerful engines

I think the VW scene is a more aesthetic based one. Looks and innovation over lap times. (Though obviously some do) And has been all the way back to the original bug scene.

BMW and to a degree the Ford RS tends towards about lap times. Normally with one eye on the 'ring.

Minimalist bays, they run differnet radiatiors with the caps on them. Then get different hoses to help do awway with a lot of the extra pipes. I suspect they also run electric heaters instead of coolant filled heater matrix's. Personally, I love that whole idea.
