My car was running rough from cold these past 3 or so days which matched with the morning temperatures being alot colder

So first port of call on most idle problems is the ICV in my experience

Cleaned it out last nite with some carb cleaner and she runs like a dream now! it was quite dirty looking on the inside.

So my tip for this week is do it! takes 30mins tops with a cup of tea

I'm now enjoying my car alot more again as that was p!ssing me off!

:D

Ok, so the hoses just pull off it?

Is there petrol or anything running through them?

Adam, no petrol or anything running through it, just air, as Mris said, it's at the back and underneath of the inlet manifold on yours, unscrew the hoses to it, and the bracket that holds it on, and pull it down out of the inlet.

just to note m10s don't have ICV's but they have something called an airslide valve. it has a couple of pipes and an electrical connector. Its located near the valve cover and its got a semi curcular bit stiking out of it.

It can be cleaned with carb cleaner and also helps.

don't think carb models have anything at all
