Next the M3 5 stud legs, rear arms and the rear beam are going for coating.

The rear beam will get re bushed and served

The rest new bearings and rear disc pads. Then either front disc pads (standard) or 4 pots depending on the avaiability.

Anyone know the paint name and code for the BBS wheels?

Yeah, I think the width will be the problem - the facelift arches are 'lower' than the chromie ones giving me less room.

DanThe - I was hoping to avoid rolling the arches, but it may well be the only way. The fronts have been pulled enough now (the damage is done) so Im not too worried about those, but Ive seen some very rusty rear arches not long after being rolled.
Dezzy wrote: Or James could double rubber the rear springs to get that little raise. On top of the spring the rubber is much smaller so use 2 bottoms?
Good idea....
beardymat wrote:FAO James, I have a pair of 10mm spacers which i took off Buster`s old car which fit between the rubber and the spring on the rear to lift it without the need for new springs if theyre of any use to you.
Beardymat - you have a PM on the way :D :D :D

I really need something to raise the front as well - a 50mm drop with the S50 is just too much.

Depending on how much thread you have sticking through your shock nut through the top hat on the front why not just space the top hat up with a thicker washer?

That might get you 5-8mm on the front with the same springs.

Otherwise its new springs or re welding the spring platforms on the shock

Erm.. Yes and no. If you can draw your own stuff up it is ok..

I am running E36 M3 calipers.. You can either run the E36 M3 disc with a 12.7mm spacer (or something like that), or run custom hubs and rotors (like I am). Not exactly a cheap 'temp' solution tbh though

I am considering 'knocking up' my own 4 pot conversion for the M3, BUT it will be to fit under 17's..

Spacers in between disc and wheel? I like that idea. S50B30 calipers and discs?
They will fit under 16?

Anyone know the colour/code of my E38 BBS?

Spacer sits between the disc and the hub..

B30 and B32 calipers are the same, it's the discs that differ iirc

Not sure fella, not got my 16's anymore to check, can see if someone local has some to try

If you would mate I would really appricate it. Bear tokens etc.

So I need to slave the disc from the hub by 12.7mm. That shouldn't be an issue. I would need a hub extending disc centralising hub spacing diagram. Easy. :?

Ive fitted the 16X8" BBS wheels to the front of a Z3M (same brakes as the E36 M3). Fitted no problems with a fair bit of space surprisingly. The differing offsets may of helped though.

We were hoping to try the E36 caliper on my strut to see if the wheel would clear, but ran out of time to remove it.

Anyone know the difference between the B30 and B32 discs?
