I'll bring my cooker, I think I need to get some gas though. Same with the cool box. I freeze lots of bacon before leaving! Space, I doubt it, i'll be full to the rafters as per usual. :)

Breakdown cover was about £44 when I looked a few days ago. I'll get it, as I know the one time I dont bother will be the time I break down!

Me, Mark & Ray (my passenger) are booked in to a B&B in Dover Wed night too. Meet ya for a beer Dave if we get there in reasonable time.

I'll just bring the BBQ then. Try and keep space for the bikes...

Breakdown cover's a must - like you say Jon, I've not needed it yet, therefore...
Who was your quote with? Think the cheapest I found was £60, but that's to be expected on an ancient car I guess - half of them wouldn't quote for anything older than 15 years.

RAC was £46, but try with the link on norfolkline(their approved breakdown people). For me it was £44. I have a nasty feeling it has a 15 year old cut off though.

Yeah, 15 years max on there. RAC were ok with it though...

Sure you couldn't fit a spare M30, gearbox, diff, engine crane etc in your boot? :)

You're only a couple of hours away from the ferry terminal

I'm a full day away
An overnight stop is justified in this case.

Breakdown cover sorted for £21.75 via vehicle rescue direct. Seems like fairly good cover for anything younger than 15 years.

Oil service this week I think.

Just in case there's more han 1 Alpina queue'd up waiting to board, mine has an Ecurie Ecosse sticker at the top of the rear window in a sheild type shape with the St Andrews cross incorporated into the design

Gutted I'm missing this year, not so gutted when I saw the forecast though, one wet LeMans is one wet Le Mans too many.

Supposed to be some rain, some sun - got to be better than '07 & tbh it might be nice if it's not quite as hot as last year! The forecasters don't have a clue anyway...

Really looking forward to seeing the new entries this year! 8)

The forecasters struggle to get the following day correct. :? Last year was a similar forecast to this year and we got seriously crispy then! It will be, what it will be.

I'll bring the tow rope...for other people to tow me out. You won't believe how bad an e39 is in slippery conditions till you see one. Nigh on useless. On the plus side, tomorrow morning I might be making it a bit more noisy/v8 like. 8)

I'll put some monies in the drinking pot, even with an unsophisticated pallet. :)

'bout time too! I really don't know how you've managed to wait this long. But then I suppose it is a lot of effort for you to get somewhere that could rectify the situation.

Don't forget my sunnies!

Sorry chaps, I'm gutted to be missing out, I enjoyed myself so much last year!
My own fault really, trying to sort out all my scrap at once rather than concentrating on one thing at a time!

Did the exhaust this morning. Got in at 7, I changed the oil whilst someone took off my rear cans! Done by 8.05.

Sounds noooice. Although I haven't driven it on the road yet. I think I might go out at lunchtime. :)

Shame Tommo, there is probably room in mine, if you can be arsed, although its all a bit last minute now!

Great stuff. :)

Tom, Dave's already volunteered a passenger space - & it's no more last minute than Dan usually manages! Just do it...

Damn, that is good. Why I didn't do that a few months ago i'll never know!

TVR-esk if a little quieter. Which is slightly strange from an executive old man touring. No noise on idle, check. No booming on the 'motorway,' check.

Dave offered me a lift ages ago but I don't think it would be the same as driving myself !
If some plonker hadn't written off my E36 things would have been different.
Next year for sure though !
