Last time I wrote on here I was just back from a tour of Scotland and the Lake District. This time my other half and I have been to Monaco for the Historic Gran Prix followed by two weeks touring Italy and then back to Monaco for the F1. What a drive! 3,300 miles all in. We drove from Bolougne through France stopping overnight somewhere forgettable along the way before day two.
En route to Monaco via the Millau Bridge (stunning), we drove through Cannes, Nice and stopped the night at Juan la Pins a lovely relatively unspoilt area.

Next stop Monaco. Now I don't know how many of you follow F1 and maybe find Monaco to be a boring race (no overtaking), but believe me, to see the circuit up close and realise the speed those drivers have entering some of the corners with no run off area is quite awesome. the Historic Gran Prix is quite a spectacle.
Next stop after two nights in Monaco was Cinque Terra, North West Italy, absolutely stunning scenery and totally unspoilt.

Onto Modena and the Pagani factory, followed by Lamborghini and Ferrari museums all within about half an hours drive of each other, petrol head heaven!
Venice for two nights, glad I went but wouldn't go back there, too many other places I want to see yet.
The highlight for me both in terms of scenery and driving roads was to follow, four days around Varenna on Lake Como. The weather wasn't brilliant but for an out of season break I can't recommend the area highly enough.

We drove one day to drive the Stelvio Pass but eff it, it was closed due to snow, oh well, gives me an excuse to go back!

Back to Monaco for the F1, never have I seen so much wealth in one place! Very memorable weekends racing.
Anyway the car is now for sale. I will post tomorrow through the normal channels with details. Suffice to say the car runs superbly, it's just had a full BMW service, done 112k miles backed up with old MOT's and has absolutely no rust at all, nearly a full years MOT and tax. £2,200 no offers on price but may be interested in any cheaper 6 cylinder E30.
