We'll see what I can do with ebay! I'm not letting this go!
I know where that location in Northampton is - Letts Road, Rothersthorpe Avenue, N'ton. The yard the pic of the E30 on ebay is parked up is actually a part worn tyre fitting business. I believe someone else shares part of the premises and stores partially stripped cars there. Certainly appears to still be the case on google maps right now!jonny323i wrote:is this the same guy too ive noticed alot of his adds like this on ebay

Also, zoom in on the second pic here

Look at the name in the rear side window.

Rob, a fella I know runs a car bodyshop around the corner and someone else I know used to work in the tyre place when it was a car repair shop. I think its still owned by that highly desirable character who I won't name, who also owns a certain used car forecourt nearby.gooner1 wrote:Thought I reckognise it Nick, a mate of mine runs a skip/scrape30shed wrote:I know where that location in Northampton is - Letts Road, Rothersthorpe Avenue, N'ton. its c*nts like this that get the zone a bad name he should be hunted down and analised by a large black man and then given a swift kicking and even that wouldnt satisfy me i hope that this is resolved asap>>>>rant over thank you
This guy is a twat. He posted a thread wanting an ecu, which i said i have, he paid for it via gift and gave me one address.
He then asks if i have an alternator, which i did have so asked him to pay for it so i can post it together; he said he'd pay the following night and gave me an alternative address.
Two days later, he pms me saying have i sent the bits (not yet paid for the alternator), i told him i hadn't and will do once he pays the remainder. He paid a few days later and i sent the bits via standard delivery. He continuously pm'd me everyday asking where the bits were.
Thank god he paid as gift, knowing what a c*nt he is, he'd try scamming the money back and he'd win as i used non-recorded delivery.
Oh and the address was in Falkirk!!!

He must have caught wind to what is going on. I actually hit the "buy it now" option just to see what would happen.
How can people like this sleep at night, ripping someone off like that. Stealing someones hard earned money. It makes my blood boil and I hope a bit of karma is dished out soon. Hope you get it sorted sleeper.

Some people might order pizzas, skips, taxis, reporting the smell of gas etc to that address. I wouldn't condone that, me.

Right, just got done for £190 for a set of wheels....
Not as much as E30 Sleeper but still its an amount which hurts...
I now feel even stupider as he said his paypal wasn't working hence I just did a straight bank transfer... Had it been paypal I could have opened a dispute but no joy with this - so I will contact the bank and see if there is any option open to me but as its been over a 3 weeks then I think the answer will be a big fat nothing...
I (though not long on the zone) have had the good fortune of dealing with good people in buying bits for my touring - I even went to the lengths of checking his user name and also I did take some confidence that he was logged as a trader - although I not knowing I hoped at least a trader would have to supply a verified address or something that would make fraud of this style a little harder to do...
Please understand I've had a few, am Pi**ed off and a little lacking in general human faith at the moment. This is not a dig against the Zone or probably 99% of the people on here, as I said, I have dealt with quite a few Zoners and it has all been great, the odd little thing thrown in etc - more than great I would say...
Now, we have an address, a poor bloke frauded out of £650 (E30 Sleeper, please note that we're not all like this!) and myself out of £190. I am more than happy to try and start chasing this, but I can't get there physically (no car this weekend, out of the country for the next 2 weekends...).
Does anyone have any ideas or knowledge for the best route fwd? AFAIK the police will consider this a civil case? Or should we just go straight for the jugular?
Does anyone know his 'real' name?
Cheers,
Matt
