hey all.
My father has a 89 325 cabriolet which I have the following two questions on if any one can help.

The rear view mirror fitted with OBC fell off recently.
The local BM dealer says that the mirror can't be restuck to the same screen successfully and has to be fitted to a new screen.
Is this correct, If you can stick the mirror to a new sceren why not the old one?

Also the mirror has 3 wires going to it, what are they for?
is it the outside temp gauge fitted inside it?

any help would be appreciated.

Mirror can be refitted using a special double sided sticky pad made for the job. Available from any good motor factors. Surfaces have to be prepared properly for them to work.
Does your mirror have map lights in it?

I have never been successful with the double sided pads but if you grovel nicely at your local auto window fitters they will do it for you using pro adhesive

but then does it look like this

as you say its with the OBC ?
