Is there any way to dung these out easily? I tried poking in the jets with a pin, but doesn't help - but taking the pipes apart etc looks like a nightmare! Both sides clog intermittently, but now the passenger side has blocked completely. Grrrr.....

its more than likely to be the little T-piece junction inbetween the two pipes buddy, under the bonnet, if you know what im onabout try replacing that and it should end your troubles if not ill try and dig a picture out for you

'spect I can find it... mind you, I do specifically remember it was replaced a couple of years ago. Is it likely to be faulty (some kind of valve or something) or just blocked? Easy to dig out?

Cheers...

yeh easy to replace matey, just pulls out of pipes, may have a couple of clips holding it, it is under your bonnet when you lift bonnet up it will be attached to you bonnet, where the two pipes coming from your water jets meet there will be a white "T" section, try and replace that and see how you go on, or another way to check is lift up bonnet and just look at the "T" section while trying to spray water out of the jets and see if it leaks, if it does then its fooked!! another solution could be the actual motor in the washer bottle?? but i suspect if that is knackered then you probably wont even hear it trying to work, i would have a go at the "T" section first and see what that does, try dissconecteing it and see if water sprays out, if it does then you know thats knacered,

My "T" section leaks like fook, but it does have blue inner rings on the T piece that wave in the wind, seams like stupid designs to me. I no BanQ do plastic T pieces im sure that would work as cheap replacements.

I think the t-pieces are non-return valves as well. The real items are only about Ԛ£3 from the dealers - part number 61 66 1 374 978. I think they are designed to leak when they fail so open the bonnet and look at the t-piece on the top edge as you pull the stalk - you'll soon be able to tell.

Good luck

This has happened to me twice before. Somehow a build up of residue had coated the inside of the water bottle itself. When the water level drops it dries a bit and then falls off into the water, gets dragged up the pipe and blocks the jets. A pin will clear it but in the end I had to take the water tank out and claen it! Bit of a ballache but cured the prob both times.

Give it a go.
