316 is on 1992 and my 325 is an 1989
iam thinkin about putting the 2.5 in the 1.6 shell my 2.5 shell is rotton plus the 1.6 couldent pull a smack head over ??? seen as i have all the parts to do it what,s hard parts about it and most of all the wiring ... what needs to change .

if you have both cars there its a lot easier. wiring will be plug and play and you shouldn't come across any problems. change the suspension and brakes over while your at it.

it's just a simple engine change. you'll have everything from the 325i to go onto the 316i the engine loom just unplugs at the c101 plug and unplug the ecu and pull the wiring through the bulkhead. theres loads of guides on here to keep you right. id leave the power steering pump and clutch slave hanging onto the car saves needing to refill the power steering fluid and bleeding the clutch up. lift the engine and box out in the one go just unbolt the prop

thanks ,, pics of the wiring would be a nice help i think i know what part it is just wont to make sure ?????
