Do you really need more power out of it mate?? They might not make the 321 they should but theyre still a good quick car. What about a good service and a full pipe with a remap? Still gonna be a few quid but unless you just want to strap NOS to it youre fooked!

Make the car lighter instead, decent power gains are going to be serious money I have hear they're not fond of decats, and decent sports cat setup are plenty of cash!
I want an exhaust for mine, only for the noise really as I don't expect any more power. For s decent power hike I'd be saving hard for a supercharger kit.
Seriously though, you're bored of 300bhp already? No wonder you get rid of the sport as soon as it was finished!

If its the SMG leave it as it is as it strugles with stock power.
Cant you modify the intake setup from the e46 m3 CSL to fit? sure i read somewere it can be done, would be good for some more power. Other than that a good chip and full exhaust

Just spoke to Bexley Motorsport and they have quoted me £959 for tuning changing the chims and adjusting valve clearences and fitting a simcota induction and a full re map.
He said the only reall gain from an exhaust will be weight and noise which I think is a tad too expensive for vanity circa £1200

A remap will not really give much more power but may improve the 'drive-ability', as they say in the advertising blurb. Honestly though, if you don't feel you have enough power at 300+ bhp in a road car then you need to learn to drive it properly.
Sorry to sound insulting, but what I mean is that even if you added 20-30 bhp, I bet it would be impossible to notice on a public road. I suspect you don't do track days as you are limiting expenditure on the car - so what's the point apart from

Tell you what you want to do Xavi and its the cheapest way to make your car tons faster.
Get a shorter diff. They are limited to 155mph but the ratios and final drive would, if power was there, enable the car to do something like 175mph. By getting a shorter final drive you lose top end but gain a lot at the bottom. So actually youre not losing!
Im not 100% what diff will be in your (3.15/1??) but if you fitted a 3.46 or a 3.64 you would not believe the difference in acceleration. Sat on the motorway it would rev higher but it depends how much motorway driving you do.
Im sure £300 will get you a diff!!
It was the best mod Ive ever done to the E30 and I did the same with my Z3M which made that a fooking nightmare hence Sarah ploughing it into a lamp post!

Not at all. I'm not the only one who thinks that that kind of power is enough. I don't want 300+bhp because I'd end up in jail325isporttech1 wrote:Thats the stupidest thing ive read all daytoby wrote:A remap will not really give much more power but may improve the 'drive-ability', as they say in the advertising blurb. What I mean is that even if it was slightly faster - how can you even tell unless you go to a track?

as standard they do 80mph at 3000rpm in 6th so i think you can drop the final drive a bit without making the car horrible to use

M3's dont have the shove you into the seat torque curve, but check the speedo and you will see you are accelerating at a massive rate of knots.. It is deceptive due to the linear power delivery right through to the rev limit. Epic engine

johnno your spot on, i dont notice a thrust in seat action but when i look at the speedo it does climb without even realising! 2nd 3rd and 5th are unreal!Jhonno wrote:M3's dont have the shove you into the seat torque curve, but check the speedo and you will see you are accelerating at a massive rate of knots..
