Speak to Maurice aka Speedtouch on here, he supplies chips to the guys on the zone.
I have one in my M30 E30 and love it.

If you Got "Haters",Then your doing something Right!
CR24v??? Where's it all gone?? LOL
Just had my iS done and its all good. You dont just get more peak horse power, there is an increase throughout the revs soo you dont need to cane it to go faster. If the engine does blow up another one is not expensive

The first thing to do to your engine is to ensure it's working as it should. When was the last time the tappets were adjusted? When were the injectors last rebuilt? Is the TPS working correctly?
When all of this has been attended to, a 'chip' from a reputable source (Ant or Speedtouch) can be a good idea, as long as you understand what a 'chip' can actually do, and its limitations.
Real power gains come from increasing the engine's performance as an air pump, and a chip can do nothing to aid this. There are also no gains to be had by significantly increasing the rev. limit on an otherwise standard engine - the power curve is well past its peak at the standard rev. limit.
