does the under dash panel for a 325i 1988 conertible have the light adjusment switch any 1 help

The height adjustment switch? It should do if your car has electrically controled light adjustment.

Whats up with the name 'imye30'?

Mine has the switch but doesn't actually do anything :roll: what are the two pipes from the switch to the headlights :?

It was a hydraulic system, but nearly all of them have broken by now.
E30 Touring 0.35 cD - more slippery than prison soap :)

Any E30 that was specified with adjustable headlight aim will have the corresponding under dash panel, but any model of E30 could have the option added or deleted at the whim of the original purchaser.

Same. Heard they're a pain (and a tadd pointless) to rejunvinate. So its currently sitting at the bottom of the endless job pit.

i cut the pipes off and junked them on the 'is',out of all the e30's i've had, the light adjusters never worked :roll:

Two options: Either replace the complete set up with new from BMW (around £80, IIRC), or fit the electric adjusters from an E34

My panel fell off :( But it's OK because it gave me the necessary access to hit my brake pedal with a hammer and fix it :D
