F*cking nightmare. spent an hour taking off one jubilee clip, then flexi hose had to be fitted against a plastic pipe which when pushed, went up into the tank. Got that one replaced and cut the hard line that had detonated at the first solid bit, ready for the longer flexi. Then had to refit the fuel filter and mount I had removed, to get at the first valve.
Couldn't get the new flexi onto the L shaped pipe which comes down from the tank about an inch from the sill.
a whole day mostly lying on damp concrete, skin worn off many fingertips, sore hands, shoulders and back stiff.
Given the state of the fuel lines and as one detonated, probably going to drop the tank and all redo all the lines.
What I'd give for a 2 post ramp !!
Thanks for listening.

I'm going to put it down to experience and make a point of checking the state of the lines and the mounts/jubilee clips regularly. Surprised it made it through it's MOT given the state of the line - it crumbled in my hand.
The old skool thread on Retro's cheering me up though !
