my car died yesterday and im sure its fuel related, but someone else said it could be a wiring issue, anyway i just went to see if the car would start, switched it on and a relay started clicking away like mental so obviously broken

so what i want to know is, is the fuel pump relay here behind this pannel ???

Yes the fuel pump relay is a 4 pin one behind there, mine went the other day and clicked like mad for a bit, then didnt click at all. Put a horn relay from my old golf in and its up and running again. Easy way of checking is swapping the 2 outer relays round and see if it runs, if it does, then get a new one and replace the one thats gone

It wouldn't have been the fuel pump relay, since that doesn't engage when you switch the car on.
The relay that switches on (via the ECU) when you switch the ignition on is the white one; the DME relay.
