Okay.

Rear bumper trim inserts. I bought 2 x new sets about 6 months ago. The rear corners were about £15 each and the centre about £20 or so.

Just been told it's £105 for the rear set alone.

BMW will keep making parts and sell them as long as there is demand. When demand stops, manufacturing stops and the prices shoot up.

Everyone get on the phone now and place orders for Indigo Sport Seat backs please.

And thank God my Indigo interior is sorted.

So far, Rear Ashtray and Piston rings are clear leaders for the total shocker award...

Hmmm, brand new Wishbone or rear Ashtray? MTEC Illuminated Gear Knob or Rear Ashtray? 4 x BBS Centre Caps or REAR FRIGGIN' ASHTRAY?!

:o rang them up about these this morning, £100 for 3 bits of pxy trimm, its a joke

with regard to the bmw wheel badges, bought some for £4 each last week for the bbs, i find some smaller bits are cheaper there than youd think or on ebay etc, ie they are more on ebay, as were the mtech gear knob emblem (£7 bmw-£12 on ebay) , and alarm key fobs were cheaper too, but other bits are a joke

mud flaps £90 for a full set 8O

£15 for a poxy diamond black touch up stick :-x

Ordered a few bits from the dealer earlier this week and noticed an increase in prices - and they told me !

Sorry if this has been mentioned but this is quite a long thread winkeye

Bonnet emblems were something like £21 each and I ordered 2! They said they went up in price £5 at the end of last year, they had a black back as well which seem to be different?

Anyway good prices are the centre emblems for 14" BBS's - these were about £2.50 each and I ordered a top seatbelt clip for the wife's E36, that was 51p ! - on ebay some people are charging around £5 8O

I recently got rid of the wife's Renault Scenic just because parts for the thing are so expensive (and I hated it!) Most BMW parts are reasonably priced and at least you know they should be well built
Previously owned loads of old E30s, E34s, a few E36s, E32s, E39s and an E38.

Currently in a diesel Audi - miss me old E30's....

I know its only a small item but a rubber breather hose that cost me £8 last year is now £22 8O

Good job it's still under warrenty and is being replaced FOC, the rubber has already deteriorated/cracked and when warm it collapsed causing all sorts of idle problems. This item was replaced for preventive measures, i put the old one back on and all was ok. I hope the replacement performs better

7.44Am Dan - impressive!

Camshafts are special bits though and though they are pricey, I wouldn't feel totally winded at those prices.

It's still Piston Rings and Rear ashtray in the lead...

A Cat264 was going to cost over £320, and there was some doubt as to whether the pistons would need pocketing. Hence my decision to stick with what's known to work.
