I have a tatty leather one you can have if you want it let me know. Came of a LHD so the ware is on the wrong side!!

thanks guys, please bring them along as anything will be better than the sharp bit of plastic thats left on the shifter, it will put the girlfiend at ease as well, I thought she had binned it the way she came in and said "I've done something to the e30 again"

sorry cant make it, unless the engines back in the e30 by saturday night and i cant use the renault 5 turbo coz isnt taxed.... so if im there im there

james, the engine i was sent for it was knackered spent 2 days trying to get it to run so a friend took it to his mates garage that specialises in bm's and mercs and it turns out the reason it wont run is because someone for reason has elongated the hole for the cranksensor and it wont line up with the pulley
the place was ment to send me another engine then the told me they never had one but the had a good bottom end they would send instead, waited about for another week still had'nt turned up so phoned them and told them to refund me. got another engine from an auto so waiting on a spigot bearing that will be with me on friday
ill be happy when its running again mate

thanks james, the engine ive got now came from a breakers local to me and i got to hear it running before it was removed from the car so i know its a good one

Mines just packed in and the lights won't go out, had to pull a coupla of fuses

i'm now a doubt for attending gearbox has died in my daughters Punto and i need to sort it, i hope to have it sorted by saturday but if not then i'll need to do it on Sunday

Worked out my light switch dilemna! One of the lugs that holds the switch into the housing has snapped off, therefor the whole unit was being pushed back into the dash rather than switching off. It's working for now, but looks like I'll be needing a replacement switch.........

managed to go strip a breaker & fit the gearbox in to the Punto today (friday) so all going well i will be there on sunday

Picked up spigot bearing from the local stealer (Harry Fairbairn@ Giffnock) got it fitted but engine is proving to be a pig to get fitted allthough i never had that much time to spend on it today hoping to maybe get it done tomorro
Think ill try and realign clutch just in case its not spot on though im sure it is
