upgrade a 316i LUX

Hello

After some expert advice here;

What are the steps to upgrade a 316 to a 325 - I am guessing:

- buy an engine
- uprate the braking system
- fit the engine


The 316 LUX I have has done 57k I bought it for £350 and have spent so far about £170 on original wheels and bits. Its in ok nic (interior is really good) with the arches and wings needed doing (of course). I have had a quote from a specialist with a low bake oven to bring it back to pretty much showroom for £1400. But a 316i is not going to be worth that much including the money I have spent already. I'm not looking to make any money, just not lose a lot.

I am in a quandry as to what to do really, that's why I am asking about the 325 upgrade.
